About Throat Cancer

Your vocal folds are located inside your larynx also known as your voice box. When speaking, air moves from your lungs through your vocal folds to the mouth. The vocal folds then vibrate, creating sound. Your vocal folds or different parts of your larynx can be affected by cancer. Signs of Throat Cancer Throat cancer may cause:  Dryness or voice changes Issues with swallowing Inclining that you have a knot in your throat Chest infection and a terrible cough Feeling shy of breath Awful breath Loss of weight A long-lasting ear infection Causes of Throat Cancer You increase your risk of throat cancer if you:  Smoke or drink excessively Eat a poor diet Have a weak immune system Chemical exposure, such as paint fumes and other toxins Have indigestion or acid reflux Testing for Throat Cancer  You should see your specialist or doctor if you have any of the issues recorded previously.
